We write with excitement, pleasure, and gratitude to share that AFO is moving to a seasonal publishing model. This issue marks our 4th year anniversary and 2019’s Fall Equinox, the first seasonal issue of our future.
We continue to be moved by the overwhelming support we have received from our communities to sustain and promote this work, by the abundance of creativity, imagination, vulnerability, and wit of our creators, content writers, and artist/activist interviewees.
After deliberation with current content writers, we have decided that slowing AFO’s publishing cycle and better aligning our patterns with the natural rhythms of the earth around us will allow our team to dedicate more intentional time to ourselves, our work, and the abundant future of this collective project.
As we breathe and lean into the truth of where this work wants to go, we feel that a seasonal issue model will deepen and expand our content, allow room for more contributors, strengthen our personal and organizational sustainability, and breathe space into future iterations/dreams/phases of our work, both in person and online.
We invite you to continue supporting our work by shouting us out on social media, contributing to our patreon, and sending our content to folks who may connect with it and/or be interested in contributing.
