Founder | Creative Director | Content Writer
Aiano (they/she) is one of the founders and content writers, as well as creative director and workshop facilitator for AFO. Their work is rooted in intersectional feminist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist, and decolonial theory/praxis with a focus on the intersection of liberation, art, and embodiment. Aiano is dancer, educator, writer, and party host living on occupied Ohlone Chochenyo land (Oakland, CA). Aiano aims to support people to engage in shadow work, practice radical self-love, and cultivate an embodied understanding. They honor the lineage of QTBIPOC freedom fighters and artists whose work inspires their own creative/personal/professional inquiries and creations. They are grounded by the AFO community, the continuum of experiences shared through this publication, and the continued support from her collaborators.
